Broward Health North is a Level 2 trauma center that sees over 65,000 patients/year. A combined residency in pediatrics and emergency medicine is available through four programs in the United States. The program will inform ABP and ABEM of Pediatrics/Emergency Medicine residents leaving the program, transferring to another combined program, or entering a categorical residency. The Med-Peds Residency is structured to provide increasing responsibility in both patient care and teaching supervision over the four years. The division provides training in pediatric emergency medicine to medical students and residents of multiple specialties, including pediatrics, emergency medicine, family medicine and psychiatry, as well as combined residents in emergency medicine/pediatrics and internal medicine/pediatrics.
